MindFit Study Visit in Szczecin, Poland

From 14–16 July, Fundacja Kamienica1 hosted the MindFit Study Visit in Szczecin, Poland!

As part of the MindFit project, partners and participants gathered in Szczecin, Poland, for the MindFit Study Visit – an important milestone dedicated to testing and validating the MindFit Toolkit in a real-life environment.

The Study Visit brought together youth workers, trainers, coaches, and sports professionals from Poland and Cyprus, creating a valuable space for international learning, collaboration, and the exchange of experiences. Throughout the programme, participants explored practical approaches to using sport as a tool to support young people’s mental health, emotional wellbeing, and personal development.

One of the key objectives of the Study Visit was to test the MindFit Toolkit through interactive workshops and practical activities. Participants tested the toolkit’s methods and exercises, providing constructive feedback that will contribute to its further refinement and finalisation. Their insights will help ensure that the toolkit is relevant, practical, and adaptable to the needs of youth workers and sports professionals across Europe.

The programme also highlighted the important role of physical activity in strengthening resilience, promoting social inclusion, improving emotional wellbeing, and developing transversal skills such as communication, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving. By combining theory with hands-on practice, participants gained new ideas and inspiration for integrating mental health support into sport-based youth work.

Beyond the educational activities, the Study Visit strengthened cooperation between the project partners and fostered meaningful connections among participants. The exchange of good practices, diverse perspectives, and professional experiences laid the foundation for future collaboration and reinforced the shared commitment to promoting mental wellbeing through sport.

The MindFit Study Visit represents another important step towards developing innovative educational resources that empower youth workers, coaches, and trainers to use sport as a powerful tool for supporting young people’s mental health across Europe.
