Transnational Report Sets the Direction for the MindFit Training Toolkit

The MindFit Transnational Report, now available on the project website, brings together the evidence from both Cyprus and Poland and provides the shared direction for the next stage of the project. The report confirms that sport already offers a strong and credible entry point for supporting young people’s mental health and well-being. Across both countries, sport is already valued for participation, connection, resilience, teamwork, and confidence-building. The real gap is not whether sport has value, but whether practitioners have the tools, confidence, and guidance to use it intentionally, safely, and inclusively.

Based on the findings, the report makes clear that the MindFit Toolkit should be practical, modular, and easy to use across schools, clubs, NGOs, youth centres, and community settings. It highlights key priorities such as psychological safety, inclusion, mental health literacy, reflection tools, activity guidance, and signposting support. The transnational findings also show that activities work best when sport is combined with reflection, supportive facilitation, and inclusive practice, not when it is used as physical activity alone.
